Current data evidence shows SFAS is making an important impact in the 35 schools where SFAS programming has been implemented. 

After two full years of operation, statistics show that the Success for All Students initiative is truly making a positive impact on students and families.  Data is collected and results are measured using School Discipline Records (SDR), Georgia Student Health Survey (GSHS), Youth Risk Behavior Survey (YRBS), Juvenile Court Records (JCR), and Success for All Students Treatment Records (treatment records).


  • 45% reduction in school fights on high school campuses (school discipline reports).

  • 19% reduction in marijuana use in the past 30 days (GSHS or YRBS).

  • 12% reduction in alcohol use in the past 30 days (GSHS or YRBS).

  • Exceeded four-year goal of providing 400 students school-based mental health services. As of January 31, 2011, SFAS has provided 566 students school-based mental health services (treatment records).

  • 38% decrease in students on juvenile probation (juvenile court records).

  • 22% decrease in discipline events among students who have completed treatment plan under school-based mental health services (treatment records/GSU data sheets).
